Flymo contour cordless battery grass trimmer reviewed

The Flymo contour cordless grass trimmer is a well designed model powered by a 24v 1.6Ahr NiMH Battery. We really like this model and it has some excellent featurtes such as swtiching from strimming to edging with the click of a button and it has an impressive running time of around 25 minutes from a single charge. Perfect for small and medium sized gardens for strimming around trees, up to fences and walls as well as edging the lawn which is made easy with the edging wheel, to tidy the lawn up after mowing. It has a strimming with of 25m. Two other features we really like is the shrubbing mode which enables you to strim under tables and benches with ease. It also has a plant guard to protect you plants as you strim right up to them. The only downside is the battery is not a lithium ion battery, this does let it down as there are many advantage to these new batteries including longer run times, shorter charge times and the ability to not loose charge when not in use over winter. Because of this we would recommend investing in another model with lithium-ion batteries. A shame as the rest of the strimmer is brilliant and the performance is good.
