The Maglite 2D LED Torch is a basic design torch with some good and not very good stuff altogether. Its beam length of 412m is great and adjusts nicely yet it forms holes and rings if the light is defocused. It only uses 2D cells which give a decent runtime but what happens next when they are out, you have to buy new ones which is costly in the long run. It could have been better if it had a rechargeable option. The construction is good but with the batteries included, this thing is a bit heavier than most other models. Basically, the Maglite 2D has found a balance between what it offers and what is lacking.
